The shopworn blade of damnation’s plow

Faithless father,
Turn your face to me!

Howling, engulfed
By an almost
Indescribable fear
Thrust upon me — tearing through me —
Of total depravity!

You are ruthless, and I am torn
Apart at the hands of heaven’s host.

Forced into the light — another hapless reprobate.
No respite, no coddling for the cursed.
Abominations on the left hand, rank horrors to the right;
“Behold!” the midwife cries: “The day of the LORD is at hand!”

Spirit aborted, the flesh yet issued forth:
The son of perdition, offspring of lies.

The falcon is loosed,
From the falconer’s hand,
But it can no longer hear his voice.
Visiting undeserved death,
Falling again and again and again
Upon the unsuspecting flock.

The day of the LORD is at hand.

The teeth of the father rend my soul,
A saturnalia; a feast on the damned.

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74

Another gem from Northern Silence Productions, Aussie one-man act Fathomage delivers relentlessly one full-length a year since 2018. This one is again an amazing atmospheric BM extremely well-crafted composition, suffice to listen to the first 12 min of the album, i.e. the first track, to be fully immersed in a mystical Tolkien's journey... but modern, dark ambient elements make it stand out from the baseline!
